Wonderful and perfect for our family.
Our family were there for a wedding and it was excellent to celebrate and stay. Beautiful place and lovely rooms, we were very happy with The Island.

Fantastic location, lovely spacious updated rooms, friendly staff and a great venue for a wedding.
Location is walking distance to everything around Surfers Paradise. We stayed in a Suite Room on the fifth floor (I think there were 11 floors in total) for three nights. The room presented just like the photos on the room advertisement show. It was a very spacious room with a comfy lounge, dining table, desk, kitchenette, floor to ceiling mirror and a smart tv that allowed you to log into your mainstream streaming services. The bed was comfortable, with power points on each side of the bed and the room was very clean. The rooms were made up with fresh towels each day. The Hotel staff were lovely and informative across the entire stay. Access to a balcony gave us an option to sit out there and relax in the afternoon sun. We chose this hotel because a friend was getting married here, the wedding was beautiful and the reception was wonderful - the food and drinks were all great too!
These points are all minor in the scheme of things: The lifts and hallways show the hotel’s age a bit and there was a fair bit of street & music noise in the evenings, which is a product of the central location. We stayed up on level 5 and the water pressure in the shower was a bit less than desired, but I like a decent amount of water pressure.
